MARGARET MOFFETTE LEA HOUSTON

The most recent historical marker placed by the Texas Society was dedicated on March 2, 2009, outside the Woodland Home on the Sam Houston Museum grounds in Houston, Texas, honoring Margaret Moffette Lea Houston, wife of Sam Houston. This was the project of State Regent Kay Crews. Later, an exhibit inside the museum was also established.
