Fredonia Chapter History and Historical Contributions
Chapter History
The Fredonia Chapter was organized August 12, 2008 by Mrs. J. Herndon (Betty) Burr. The chapter was chartered January 12, 2009 with 25 members. Unfortunately, Mrs. Burr passed away in October 2009 after serving nine months as regent. The chapter celebrated its tenth anniversary this year. Although the chapter has lost some of its charter members it has gained new ones to maintain its membership. Just this past year the chapter gained four new members plus two transfer members. Meeting in an informal atmosphere at a local restaurant gives members an opportunity for more socialization and personal interaction.
